Core mechanics
Le Vampire features and bonus games, explained
Le Vampire runs the Le-series reveal engine and adds Blood Squares with Epic upgrades. Everything else in the game serves those two ideas: a winning cluster marks Golden Squares, a Rainbow collects them, and the bonuses change how much of the marked grid survives a collection.
This page lists every mechanic the game ships, in the order you meet them, with the three bonus games compared side by side and the FeatureSpins prices the game itself displays. No invented multipliers and no estimated hit rates: where Hacksaw publishes no figure, this page prints none.

Golden Squares, the mechanic everything else depends on
A winning cluster marks every position it covers. Those positions stay lit while the winning symbol type tumbles away, and nothing is paid until a Rainbow opens them. Squares that have already been emptied can be marked and revealed again, which is how one collector can chain into the next.
- Five or more identical symbols connected on their sides form the cluster
- The marks stay on the grid until something activates them
- An Epic Rainbow reveals specials on every cell at once
- In a bonus, an Epic symbol can turn the marks into Blood Squares
Rainbows and the reveal engine
When a Rainbow (or Epic Rainbow) opens the marks, special symbols appear on them: Coins pay instant cash, Green Clovers boost the value of nearby Coins, and Gold Clovers boost every Coin on the grid.
Collectors do the rest. A Bag of Gold collects Coins and activated Bags or Pots on adjacent squares, while a Pot of Gold collects them across the grid. When nothing else can fire, the remaining Coin, Bag and Pot values are added up and paid.
Epic Rainbow and Blood Rain
An Epic Rainbow covers the grid and can trigger Blood Rain, which turns the marked squares into Blood Squares. Blood Squares follow the same rules with a higher floor: they never reveal Bronze Coins.
That is the arc of a big Le Vampire session. The base game paints squares, an Epic Rainbow opens all of them at once, and Blood Rain is what stops the cheapest reveal tier from appearing in the middle of it.
The Symbol Bar and Epic upgrades
The Symbol Bar sits under the grid in the free spins and fills as its four symbol types upgrade. Each completed level pays two extra free spins, and those spins arrive with Rainbow symbols attached.
The upgrade also persists for the rest of the round, including symbols that drop after it. In Do Your Fang, the fourth level guarantees an Epic Rainbow on every subsequent spin.
The three bonus games, side by side
All three keep the base cluster grid and start with ten free spins. What changes is persistence: how much of the marked grid survives a collection, and how fast the Symbol Bar moves.
| Bonus game | Trigger | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Coffin Break | 3 FS symbols · 10 spins | Squares stay lit until a Rainbow collects them, then they clear. High-pay wins upgrade that symbol to Epic |
| Love at First Bite | 4 FS symbols · 10 spins | Golden and Blood Squares stay highlighted even after activation, so the grid accumulates instead of wiping |
| Do Your Fang | 5 FS symbols · 10 spins | Love at First Bite rules plus a Rainbow or an Epic Rainbow on every spin |
FeatureSpins and bonus buy
Where regulation allows it, Hacksaw sells two modified base-game spins plus two of the three bonus games. The prices below are the ones the game shows at a 2.00 stake; the shop inside your game is the version that counts.
The two FeatureSpins rows do not let FS symbols land. You are buying the reveal engine, not the free-spin ladder: Rainbow Bite and Rainbow Epic Drop guarantee a Rainbow or an Epic Rainbow on every spin and can drop into Blood Rain.
| Option | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins | 3x bet | Every spin is five times more likely to trigger a bonus game |
| Rainbow Bite FeatureSpins | 75x bet | Every spin carries a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow, with a chance of Blood Rain |
| Rainbow Epic Drop FeatureSpins | 500x bet | Every spin carries an Epic Rainbow, with a chance of Blood Rain |
| Coffin Break | 60x bet | The 3 FS bonus, bought outright |
| Love at First Bite | 250x bet | The 4 FS bonus, bought outright |
| Do Your Fang | Not for sale | The hidden Epic bonus, 5 FS symbols only |
Le Vampire features: quick answers
What features does Le Vampire have?
Golden Squares with Rainbow collection, Epic Rainbows, Blood Rain with Blood Squares, Epic symbol upgrades, the Symbol Bar, three free-spin bonus games and the FeatureSpins shop where regulation allows it.
What does Blood Rain do?
An Epic Rainbow can trigger it, and it turns the marked grid into Blood Squares. Blood Squares follow the Golden Square rules but never reveal Bronze Coins, so the cheapest reveal tier is out of the mix.
Which bonus game is the best one?
They differ in persistence rather than in fairness. Coffin Break clears the board after a collection, Love at First Bite keeps every activated square lit so the grid accumulates, and Do Your Fang adds a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow to every spin.
Can I buy the bonus games?
Two of the three, where your market allows it: Coffin Break and Love at First Bite are sold at the prices the game displays. Do Your Fang cannot be bought and only lands from five FS symbols.
What is the Symbol Bar?
The progress bar under the grid in every free-spin round. It fills as its four symbol types upgrade, pays two extra free spins per level, and keeps the upgrade for the rest of the round.
Is there a jackpot in Le Vampire?
No. There is no progressive or fixed jackpot: the top outcome is Hacksaw's published 15,000x maximum, paid from the game's own maths rather than a pooled prize.
