How to play Le Vampire: clusters, Golden Squares and spins
Le Vampire is a cluster-pays slot: five or more identical symbols have to connect on their sides, horizontally or vertically, and the win marks every position it covers as a Golden Square. Those squares are what the game is built on; the base spin itself is only the setup.
This page is the first five minutes: the grid, the stake controls, what a Rainbow does when it lands and how the three bonus games start. None of it needs a deposit. The demo runs the same build, so you can follow along on practice credits and switch to real money later with nothing new to learn.

Your first spin, step by step
Six steps, in the order the game asks you to do them. If a step looks different on your screen it is usually a regional or operator setting rather than a mistake on your side.
- Set the stake. Use the minus and plus controls around the spin button. The info screen states the minimum and the maximum stake your operator allows for the game.
- Spin, or switch on autoplay. Autoplay repeats your stake for a set number of spins. Stopping it early costs nothing: there is no bonus round waiting in the counter.
- Read the win. A cluster needs five or more identical paying symbols touching on their sides; corner-only contacts and diagonals do not count. Wilds substitute for paying symbols.
- Watch the Golden Squares. Every position the cluster covers stays lit while the winning symbol type tumbles away. The squares wait there for a Rainbow to activate them.
- Follow the Rainbows. A Rainbow opens the marked Golden Squares and reveals Coins, Clovers, Bags of Gold or Pots of Gold. An Epic Rainbow lights the whole grid and can start Blood Rain.
- Count the FS symbols. Three, four or five FS symbols together open one of the three free-spin games. FS symbols pay no clusters of their own, so a spin with three of them is a bonus, not a win.
Golden Squares: winning without collecting
The squares are a promise, not a payout. A winning cluster marks them, the symbols tumble away, and nothing is collected until a Rainbow or an Epic Rainbow activates the marks. Busy spins can paint a large part of the 6x5 before anything lands to open it.
Inside a bonus an Epic symbol can turn Golden Squares into Blood Squares. They follow the same rules with one difference: Blood Squares never reveal Bronze Coins, so the floor of every reveal goes up.
- A cluster marks the squares; the Rainbow collects them
- Emptied squares can be marked and revealed again, which is how a collector snowballs
- An Epic Rainbow reveals specials on every cell
- Blood Squares are the bonus-only version, with no Bronze Coins in the mix
What a Rainbow reveals
Once the marks are opened, special symbols take over and the spin turns into a collection. The tiers below are the ones the game prints, and your operator's build serves the same set.
| Reveal | Role | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze Coin | Instant cash | The lowest coin tier - the one Blood Squares never reveal |
| Silver Coin | Instant cash | A bigger instant cash prize than Bronze |
| Gold Coin | Instant cash | A high instant cash prize |
| Diamond Coin | Instant cash | The top coin tier |
| Green Clover | Boosts coins | Raises the value of nearby Coins |
| Gold Clover | Boosts coins | Raises the value of every Coin on the grid |
| Bag of Gold | Collector | Collects Coins and activated Bags or Pots on adjacent squares |
| Pot of Gold | Collector | Collects Coins and activated Bags or Pots across the grid |
How the free spins start
All three bonus games start from the same trigger and keep the base cluster grid. Three, four or five FS symbols landing together decide which one you get, and each starts with ten free spins.
- 3 FS symbols: Coffin Break. Squares stay lit until a Rainbow collects them, then they clear
- 4 FS symbols: Love at First Bite. Golden and Blood Squares stay highlighted even after activation, so the grid accumulates
- 5 FS symbols: Do Your Fang, the hidden Epic bonus, with a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow on every spin
- Do Your Fang cannot be bought; it only lands naturally
- The Symbol Bar adds two free spins per level it completes
The Symbol Bar inside a bonus
The bar sits under the grid in every bonus game and fills as its four symbol types upgrade. Each completed level pays two extra free spins, and those spins arrive with Rainbow symbols attached.
In Do Your Fang the fourth level guarantees an Epic Rainbow on every spin that follows. That is the difference between the three bonuses in one line: how much of the board survives a collection, and how quickly the bar gets there.
Stake, autoplay and the info panel
The game's own controls cover everything you need before the first spin, and one of them is worth using on every visit.
- The bet stepper sets the stake; the info screen states the range and the current build
- Autoplay repeats the same stake for a set number of spins and stops on command
- The info panel names the RTP build your operator loaded, from 97% down to 86%
- There is nothing to install: the game is HTML5 and runs in the mobile browser too
How to play Le Vampire: quick answers
How do you win in Le Vampire?
Land five or more identical paying symbols connected on their sides, horizontally or vertically. The cluster marks those positions as Golden Squares, and a Rainbow then activates them to reveal coins, clovers, bags and pots.
How many symbols do you need for a cluster?
Five, and they have to touch on their sides. Diagonals and corner-only contacts do not count, and FS symbols cannot form clusters at all.
What are Golden Squares for?
They are the game's collection mechanic. A win marks the squares it covers, the symbols tumble away, and the squares wait for a Rainbow or an Epic Rainbow to open them and reveal the specials inside.
How do the free spins trigger?
Three, four or five FS symbols landing together in the base game. Three gives Coffin Break, four gives Love at First Bite and five gives the hidden Do Your Fang, each starting with ten free spins.
Does Le Vampire have autoplay?
Yes. Autoplay repeats your stake for a set number of spins, and stopping it early costs nothing because the counter does not hold a bonus round.
Can I practise without spending money?
Yes. The demo runs the same build on practice credits, with the same grid, Golden Squares and bonus games, so you can learn the cluster rule before any real stake.
